Cruz Castle, Windenburg, 2036 "Come on Alex," said Henry. "You sure this witches' coven isn't some cult?" "You'll be perfectly safe," Alex reassured his husband. Henry kissed Alex's neck. "You have to promise me," said Henry, through Alex's giggles, "that you'll come and get me should these witches kidnap me and send me to the alien colony of Sixam." "That won't happen, Henry," said Alex. "I better go," said Henry. "Just... come home Henry, won't you... hm?" said Alex. "Of course I will." And Henry left the palace to visit the witches. "We're having a picnic today," said Nadya, leading Henry across a park in Brindleton to where a group of people sat on blankets eating and drinking. One of them, he knew, was the mother he'd never met. "Esme," said Nadya, "your son is here." "Hi," said Henry weakly, not directing his wave at Esmeralda. His anxiety over meeting his mother was making eye contact very difficult. "Henry," said Esmeralda and she waved too. Henry finally glanced at his mother and his eyes almost jumped out of their sockets. Wow! She looks just like Esmeralda from Disney's Notre Dame. Later in the Evening... Henry told Alex all about the visit to the coven over dinner. "And she looked just like Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I'm officially the son of a Disney character." Henry bounced as he said it, jiggling the table. "But not really, though, Henry," said Alex. "Remember Disney characters aren't real." "Don't ruin my fantasy. Mummy is a Disney character because I decided so." "Well actually she's a book character," said Alex. "Yeah, whatever," said Henry. He noticed Alex's upside down mouth. "How're you feeling?" "What? Me, Henry? I'm fine, why?" "You've been looking very down, so I thought I'd ask." "Oh," said Alex. His face dropped again. "Dr Jack visited today and we discussed some things I'd rather forget." "Well I think that was very brave of you, Alex," said Henry. "Thanks, Henry," said Alex.
