Angel took a deep breath and began to explain everything she knew about Grim. "Sooo I guess you know about the fire in 1977...." "The burning of the H.E.S Headquarters? Yeah, I know that one. Almost killed my grandmother," said Gemma. "You know that the Sweglords stole the fireworks from the Headquarters, right?" "Yes.... but what has this all got to do with Grim?" "Well...." Angel checked her surroundings, then lowered her voice. "The Renegades made a deal with Grim that if they started a feud between His Evil Services and themselves, they would be guaranteed immunity from the Sweaty Shivers Pandemic." "What Sweaty Shivers Pandemic?" said Gemma. "It's only just beginning." "I don't believe any of this." "You don't? Grim wants a divided nation and to stop over-population. Your son is playing into his wishes." "And just how do you know all this?" said Gemma. "Because my parents told me the night before they died and I had passed this knowledge onto my son. As long as someone living knows of Grim's plans, there is still hope." "So someone must tell my son." The Lotus Oasis, Al Simhara, 2031 "And what would the Resistance want with these two, hm?" said Alex to the woman leading Cas and Victor. There was silence. "Alex... It's been.... a while...." stalled the woman. "Hold on a minute," said Cas. "How do you know Alex?" "We were friends... sort of...." said the woman. "We met when Alex was visiting his family." "Friends?" said Victor. The concept of Alex having friends was tricky to comprehend. "We used to date," said Alex. "What?" said Victor. The concept of Alex having lovers was even trickier? "It was a mistake," said the woman. "A mistake hm? Now, Rashida, I do recall you telling me I had an attractive mouth." "Really? Because I recall me saying you had a maladaptive mouth." "Oh come now, Rashida. Can we not make up after all this time?" "You lied to me! You said your parents were bankers!" "Close enough." "To what? An Evil Genius King?" Rashida humphed. "What do you want, anyway?" "Oh me? Nothing... I'm just here to make an offer the Resistance cannot refuse." "This is not an offer! This is abduction!" screamed Rashida, while Alex, Henry and Adrian, marched Rashida, Victor and Cas away from the Lotus Oasis. Cas's sister, Adelyn Fowl, waited for her cue to join the 'abductors'. Alex let go of Rashida and ran to Adelyn. "You take Rashida, I'll go find the boss," said Alex, referring to the boss of MorcuCorp. Adelyn nodded and Rashida glared. "I'll walk myself, thank you." Adelyn was about to speak when her sister started shouting at her. "Traitor!" Cas yelled. "Rich, coming from you!" her sister retorted. "Can you please cooperate, Victor? We're trying to get you to safety!" groaned Henry, tugging at his cousin's arm. "I'm not fighting for the Sweglords, Henry," said Victor. "I'd rather die, so there." "No one's asking you to fight for anyone," said Henry. "So can you please cooperate?" "Let go of Cas, and I will." Henry nodded at Adrian and she let go of Cas's arm. Meanwhile, Henry's father, Caleb, and Victor's mother, Edith, were waiting for the MorcuCorp security, who were creeping down the stairs. Luka followed Madelyn down the stairs. "I think I found an office!" called Madelyn. From above the stairs, Caleb and Edith were successfully defending themselves from the security guards. "I blummin' hate guns!" cried Edith, while she lunged into one guard. Their niece, Kristen, approached them with a question. "When's Paris gonna be arrivi...." she didn't finish, for she froze when her eyes fell on the guns in the security guards' hands. Caleb reached his hand out to his niece. "Kristen, step away from the water!" "Wha...?" "Kristen!" "Great." But Caleb did not have time to think of anything else, for when Edith had lunged into the security member, she had pushed him onto Caleb. A month later, Selvadorada 2031 Analisa filled Loki's pet bowl in the hope that Loki would cheer up. Ever since the dinner at cousin Diego's, Loki had been moping around the property with his tale between his legs. "Loki! Come and get your grub!" Analisa called. "There you are!" Loki trotted in. His round eyes stared up pathetically at Analisa and he wined. Must Alex come over? he whimpered. Meanwhile, back at Diego and Alessandra's home, the couple were sitting on the couch watching telly. "Did you notice something up with Loki last night?" said Analisa. "Yes," said Diego. "But isn't there always something up with Loki?" I would like to thank Bugsie2016 for building Analisa's house.
